Brand kits
Give your agents a consistent identity to work from. A brand kit brings together your colors, typography, assets, footer and writing guidance. Publish it, then select the kit and its design choices in the emails and forms that should use them.
Kits live under Brand Kits in the main navigation. Your business details, the ones that go in every footer, live separately in Settings, Brand.
Start with your brand details
Settings, then Brand, holds the things that are true of your business rather than of one design:
| Field | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Brand icon | Small square mark. |
| Brand Logo | Appears in emails. PNG or JPG, up to 5MB. |
| Brand Name | Your display name in emails and footers. |
| Brand Summary | A description of your business, used by AI when it writes for you. |
| Website | Your main website URL. |
| Address | Your business's postal address. |
maxclicks uses this postal address in the email footer. Enter and review your business details before sending marketing email.
Your billing address and currency are set separately, under Billing.
Create a kit
On the Brand Kits page, click Create brand kit (or New brand kit once you have one). It opens straight away with a name and description you can edit in place. A kit starts as a Draft, which means nothing is using it yet.
A space can hold several kits, which is how you keep one look for product announcements and another for a sub-brand or a seasonal campaign.
Fill it in
A kit has five tabs.
Content & Socials
The footer that goes on the bottom of every email.
- Website: only set this if the kit points somewhere other than your brand website.
- Copyright: appears immediately before your brand name, so
2026 ©renders as2026 © Your Brand. - Footer and Disclaimers: Markdown, for whatever else has to be down there.
- Alignment: Left, Center or Right, applied to the whole footer including socials, disclaimers, copyright, address and the unsubscribe link.
Add Social adds a row: pick the platform, give it a title, paste the link. Twenty-two platforms are supported: Behance, Discord, Dribbble, Facebook, GitHub, Google, Instagram, Linkedin, Medium, Pinterest, Snapchat, SoundCloud, Spotify, Telegram, TikTok, Tumblr, Vimeo, Web, WhatsApp, X, XING and YouTube. The up and down arrows on each row set the order they appear in.
Brand Voice
Your values, your tones, and two rules about what to always include and always avoid. This is what maxinja reads before it writes a word. It has its own page.
Assets
Your images, grouped into named collections. New asset collection starts one. An empty collection offers two ways in: Crawl URLs, where you paste a page address and tick the images you want off that page, or Import manually. Once the collection holds images, or once you have clicked Import manually, both ways live in the collection's ⋯ menu: Upload file (PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF) and Crawl URLs.
maxclicks looks at each image you add and writes a title and description for it, so AI can later pick the right picture for the right email. That is an AI call, so it costs a small amount of credits per image.
Color Palettes
A palette is seven named roles rather than an open list of colors, which is what lets AI apply them correctly without guessing.
| Role | Where it lands |
|---|---|
| Canvas Background | The area behind the email body. |
| Background | The email body itself. |
| Heading | Heading text. |
| Text | Body text. |
| Button Background | Button fill. |
| Button Text | Text on buttons. |
| Link | Hyperlinks. |
Add color palette creates another one, and one carries the Default badge. Several palettes in one kit is how you keep a light and a dark treatment on the same brand.
Style Packs
Typography and spacing: Corners and Spacing sliders, then a font family and size for Heading and for Text. Same pattern as palettes, Add style pack for another, one marked Default.
Publish it
A kit does nothing until you publish it. While it is a draft, the header tells you plainly: "This kit is a draft and is not in use yet. Publish it to use it in your emails and forms."
Hit Publish and the badge flips to Published.
After that, the header changes to "This kit is live. Edits apply to your emails and forms immediately." There is no second publish step or draft copy. Saved edits affect consumers that read the live kit again; they do not rewrite sent emails or an already frozen broadcast revision. Create a second kit when experimenting.
Set as default marks the kit that gets picked automatically. Only a published kit can be the default. Publishing the first kit makes it the default when the brand does not already have one.
Using a kit in an email
An email saves a specific choice: which brand, which kit, and which asset collection, color palette and style pack from inside it. That is what gets handed to AI when it writes or personalizes the email, so the kit provides the design choices and writing context for that email. Review generated copy and imagery against your actual brand requirements.
Know what changes when you edit or delete a kit
Selecting a kit supplies reusable values and AI context; it does not replace every hard-coded color or sentence in an existing email. A value referenced through Liquid, such as branding.colorPalette.linkColor, follows the branding available at render time. A literal hex color or previously written paragraph stays as authored until you edit it.
Broadcast preparation freezes a campaign revision for consistent rendering and sending. Do not assume that changing a live kit repairs a campaign already in preparation; check its revision and state in Broadcasts.
Deleting a kit affects emails and forms that selected it. If it was the default, maxclicks chooses another published kit in the same brand when one exists, otherwise clears the default. Reopen affected drafts and forms and check their kit, palette, assets, typography and footer. Kits owned by an integration cannot be deleted through the ordinary delete action.
